SJNC Community Scholarship

The SJNC Community Scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding newcomer students who have demonstrated academic excellence, community involvement, and a commitment to making a positive impact. This scholarship provides financial assistance to help these deserving individuals pursue their educational goals and unlock their full potential.

International Culture Fest

The International Culture Fest is a vibrant celebration of the diverse cultural heritage represented within our community. This annual event features lively performances, delectable international cuisine, interactive cultural exhibits, and engaging workshops. It’s a unique opportunity for newcomers and long-time residents alike to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of global traditions and customs.

Green BBQ

The Green BBQ is a sustainable and eco-friendly community gathering that promotes environmental awareness and responsible living. Attendees can enjoy delicious food, participate in interactive workshops on sustainable practices, and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for protecting our planet.

Tax Clinic

In collaboration with the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, the SJNC hosts an annual tax clinic between March and April. This service provides free tax preparation assistance to newcomers, ensuring they can navigate the complexities of the Canadian tax system with confidence and ease.
