The Living Library comes to International Culture Fest

The Living Library comes to International Culture Fest

Would You Like to Tell Your Story?

The Living Library is an exciting addition to the upcoming International Culture Fest in Saint John. This unique event provides an opportunity for individuals from around the world to share their life stories with members of the Saint John community. These individuals have had vastly different day-to-day experiences, making their stories fascinating to listen to.

At the Living Library, participants will have a chance to start over and share their stories. Each participant’s photo and a short bio will be printed on a book jacket, resembling a normal library. Visitors to the Living Library can browse through the available “books,” which are actually people, and engage in one-on-one conversations with them. It’s a chance to hear captivating stories and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

The 5th International Culture Fest will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 5th and 6th, on Water Street in Uptown Saint John. This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate cultural diversity and foster intercultural connections and dialogue. It provides a platform for individuals to share their unique experiences and for the community to learn from and engage with people from different backgrounds.

Don’t miss out on this enriching experience at the International Culture Fest in Saint John. Come and be a part of the Living Library, where stories come to life and connections are made.

If you would like to be a part of the Living Library and share your story, please reach out to the Saint John Newcomers Centre.
