The Saint John Newcomers Centre is happy to offer three community scholarships for this year! This scholarship is made possible through the local community and partner donations. The scholarship will be given to a candidate who is applying to a post-secondary educational institution in Saint John. 

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Be in financial need, and be able to demonstrate your financial need in your essay.
2. Be somehow connected to the Saint John Newcomers Centre, e.g. take part in our events, use our services now or in the future. The candidate must not be an employee of the Saint John Newcomers Centre or their relative.
3. Currently, live in the Greater Saint John area.
4. Applying for the first year of study at a recognized post-secondary institution.
5. If you are submitting your application in English, the institution you are applying to should be located in Saint John. If you are submitting your application in French, the institution you are applying to should be located in New Brunswick, preferably in French.
6. Intend to stay in (or move back to) Saint John after graduation.
7. Intend to contribute to the promotion of multiculturalism in Saint John.
8. Able to provide proof of enrollment from a recognized post-secondary institution.
