Sarah Lander

Sarah was born and raised in Saint John and has a passion for the city and its unique community feel. Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at St. Thomas University, with a double major in International Relations and Political Science. She has always had an excitement for travel and exploring new places and cultures. Sarah moved to Germany to do a Master’s degree in Global Studies in 2019, where she lived and learned at three universities around the world- University of Freiburg, University of Cape Town, and Jawaharlal Nehru University. During this time, Sarah shifted her career focus to education. After finishing her Master’s degree in Germany, Sarah taught English as an additional language to children and adults. After five years abroad, Sarah decided it was time to come home to Saint John, where she began working as an EAL Mentor with the Anglophone South School District. She is excited about her journey with the SJNC and the SKY Program, and to be able to give back to the community she adores so deeply.
